New Arabian Presentation Sets

INSPIRATION:

Another beaded collar and halter design has been added to the collection. I decided to try a more streamlined and delicate look for the collar, with one large pendant in the center, and a row of bobbles on either side. I based my new design on two lovely presentation sets that I found on Pinterest, pictured above. 

DESIGN:

After a couple of rough-drafts, I worked out a wire pendant design and beading pattern for the collar. To complement the new collar, I decided to slim down my old halter pattern, using only one nose chain, with one row of matching metallic glass beads.

Miniature Horse Halters

INSPIRATION:

After re-painting my resin miniature horse from Breyer, I decided to see if I could make her a little show halter. If I could think up a pattern, I would add a collection mini Arabian style cable halters to the shop for more mini model horses to enjoy. 

I was inspired by the beautiful Ozark Triumph Closed Ring miniature horse halters designed by Ozark Mountain Mini Tack.

 

DESIGN:

Since I don't have much experience rolling leather, I stitched rolled nylon to create the cheek pieces. For the striped noseband, I layered more black nylon and a thin strip of metallic silver foil. For some variations, I used brass hardware, and replaced the metallic noseband with different colors of glitter.

A Few New Designs

A few new designs for the shop: 

Some new presentation sets, pairing some sweet miniature metal pendants that I found a while back, with beaded chain fringe. 

A show halter, inspired by Missouri Foxtrotter show tack.

And last, but not least, a versatile show halter with gold cabochons, for gaited, carriage, or draft breeds. 

Tassles

I recently put together a new presentation set design. These pieces have five wire-wrapped cotton tassels on the collar and, and two smaller tassels on the halter.

Nylon Glitter Halters

 A new collection of halters is now complete! These are basic nylon stable halters with brass-wire hardware and matching cotton floss lead-ropes, but they have a sparkly twist. The cheek pieces and nose bands are decorated with strips or ribbon and rows of hand applied silver glitter dots.
